Check out Embers, a cool new local bar serving ribs, burgers, wood fired pizza & craft beers. Adding to the vibe are pinball machines, live entertainment and street art. Impressed by the transformation like we are?
The pictures below tell the before and after story of Embers – a new project for the team at Campbelltown Catholic Club behind the award winning Kyūbi Modern Asian Dining.
It’s pretty easy to create something edgy when your canvas is a character-filled old pub or dingy sandstone basement, but when you haven’t got that type of building fabric to work with, the challenge is all the more real.
On a tight budget we had to work cleverly to create that ambience – dark staining the existing timber floors, an entire wall covered in blackboard paint for the menu, and walls of street art. A new rustic bar using steel and Asahi Finger tiles and a bright neon sign over attracts your attention, finishing touches were added with key furniture pieces and floor rugs.
